RIZZARDO DA FERRARA (FERRARA, 1872 – ? 1918)


 

 


His real name was Rizzardo Trebbi. He studied singing under the renowned tenor Leopoldo Signoretti, followed by training with Steffanini Donzelli and Giuseppe Nenci. He made his debut in 1907 at the Teatro Sociale of Ivrea in U. Giordano’s Andrea Chénier.

In 1910, he performed at the Teatro Storchi in Modena, where he participated in the world premiere of A. Seppilli’s opera La Nave Rossa. He was later chosen by P. Mascagni to perform in various South American opera houses in his opera Isabeau.

In 1912, Da Ferrara recorded nine selections for Odeon. Tragically, he died during the First World War.
