ADALGISA BALDI (PARMA, JANUARY 10, 1879 – MILAN, MARCH 23, 1945)
She studied at the Conservatory of Parma under Salvatore Auteri Manzocchi and made her debut in 1901, performing in La Traviata and I Puritani during a provincial tour. To increase her opportunities for engagements, she transitioned to operetta, becoming a well-regarded soprano in the genre. In July 1903, after a performance at the Politeama Genovese, critics praised the “sweet grace” with which she interpreted her aria.
In 1905, she performed in Parma at the Politeama Reinach as part of one of Carlo Lombardo’s operetta companies. She also performed with the Città di Milano company. Later, she resumed her operatic career, alternating it with performances in operetta.
