ITALIAN TENOR BINDO GASPARINI CDR

BINDO GASPARINI (CARPI, 1880 – ?)

He was the husband of the famous soprano Elvira Magliulo. He likely made his debut in 1903 at the Teatro Coccia in Novara, performing the role of Federico in Germania. In 1914, he sang the title role in Wagner’s Parsifal during its premiere at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo.

Although Gasparini never performed in North America, he recorded a few arias and duets in 1907 for the USA branch of Zonophone, providing a rare glimpse into his artistry.
