MATILDE REVENGA PÉREZ-LARA (VALENCIA, NOVEMBER 4, 1904 – MADRID, NOVEMBER 7, 1985)


 



At the age of sixteen she moved to Madrid to take singing lessons from Ignacio Tabuyo, making her debut two years later at the Teatro Real in Lohengrin. She subsequently moved to Italy, performing successfully in Milan, Venice and Genoa.

Her career includes performances in Jardín de Oriente by Joaquín Turina (1923), in Maruxa by Amadeo Vives at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo (1924), and in the last performances of La Bohème given at the Teatro Real before its closure in 1925, alongside Miguel Fleta, Aníbal Vela and Carlos del Pozo. After the Teatro Real closed, she performed regularly at the Teatro Apolo and made her debut at the Liceo in Barcelona with Carmen.

In the early 1930s he focused on the zarzuela repertoire, often partnering with Fleta. After the end of the Spanish Civil War he did not continue his career.
