IRNERIO COSTANTINI (ROME ? – ?)


 



His full name was Irnerio Di Maria Costantini. He began his singing studies despite his father’s opposition and, at the age of 16, entered the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome, where he studied singing under Antonio Cotogni. He made his debut in 1902 at the Teatro Sociale in Mantova. In 1922, he became a member of an artist’s group called the “Soloists of the Sistine Chapel,” which embarked on an extensive tour in Australia and New Zealand.
