Avrelia-Cecilia Dobrovolskaya (Soprano) (Kiev, Ukraine 22.11 (4. 12).1881 - Kirov, Russia 3. 12. 1942)






From 1908 to 1909 and in 1913 she studied singing in Paris under Mathilde Marchesi, then perfected her vocal in Milano with P. Vidal. She made her debut in 1902 at the Private Opera House of Solodovnikov in Moscow as Tatiana in P. Tchaikovsky’s ‘’Eugene  Onegin’’. She made guest appearances in Nizhny Novgorod (1904, 1907), Ostashkov (1907), St. Petersburg (1906), Kazan (1909), Kharkov (1910, 1922), Paris, London (1914), Baku (1922) and Odessa (1923-1924). In 1903 she created for Moscow the part of Sophie in the premiere of J. Massenet’s opera ‘’Werther’’.
