There's so much great information in this article that I have to share it with my friends and family.

According to Charles Neilson Gattey, in his biography of Luisa Tetrazzini, these records are by Elvira Tetrazzini, not Eva.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot, but is it 100%?

Ashot
Hello Ashot. The recordings (also some for La Fonografia Nazionale Milano) are indeed all by Elvira Tetrazzini, the youngest of the three sisters. The oldest, Eva, never recorded - she was nominally retired by 1903 but made a few appearances thereafter (in Andrea Chénier), supported by her husband Campanini (who is the accompanist of his sister-in-law Luisa Tetrazzini in her black Zonophones). I think the dates you give are for Eva - I'm not sure what Elivra's dates are.
