HEINRICH WINCKELSHOFF (DEUTZ, COLOGNE, GERMANY, 4 DECEMBER, 1881 – BAD GODESBERG, COLOGNE, GERMANY, 3 JULY, 1949)
He received his education in Cologne and made his debut in 1907 at the Cologne Opera House, where he remained active until 1918. Initially appearing as a guest in various opera performances, he later devoted himself entirely to operetta, performing from 1920 to 1926 at the Reichshallen Operetta Theater in Cologne. During his operatic career, he sang roles such as Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni, Lohengrin, Parsifal, Froh in Das Rheingold, the King's Son in Königskinder, Fenton in Falstaff, Turiddu in Cavalleria Rusticana, and Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly. Between 1910 and 1913, he successfully performed Wagnerian repertoire at the Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels. He also made a few recordings for Parlophon.
