Franz Klarwein (Tenor) ( 8. März 1914 Garmisch; † 16. Dezember 1991 Grünwald bei München)

He studied singing under Fritz Kerzmann as well as at the music colleges of Frankfurt a. M. and Berlin. He made his debute in 1937 as lyric tenor at the Volksoper in Berlin, to which he belonged till 1942. Since that time he was also a member of the  Bayerischen Staatsoper in Munich. He retired from the stage in 1977. Married to the known soprano  Sari Barabas.
