Max Nicolaus (Tenor) (Dresden, Germany 5/2 1882 - ?)


First he studied philology and in 1906 he received the degree of a doctor . Then he studied singing and in 1910 made his debut at the Volksoper in Berlin. His repertoire included Tamino in "Zauberflöte", Belmonte in "Entführung aus dem Serail", Almaviva in ‘’Il Barbiere di Siviglia’’, Lyonel in ‘’Martha’’, the title role in  "Lobetanz" by L. Thuille, Steuermann in "Fliegenden Holländer", Alfredo in ‘’La Traviata’’ and Rodolfo in ‘’La Bohème’’. Later ge added to his repertoire also Max in ‘’Freischütz’’ and Francesco in ‘’Mona Lisa’’ of Max von Schillings.
