Carl Seydel (Tenor) (December 14, 1879 Dresden, Germania - August 7, 1947 Munich, Germania)




First he studied Protestant theology at the University in Leipzig. Then he took private vocal lessons with Emil Pinks at Leipzig. In 1901 his debut occurred as a concert singer. During the first six years he only gave a recitals. In 1907 he made his stage debut at the Hoftheater in Altenburg, where he remained till 1910. He made guest appearances in Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Hague and Switzerland. In the 1927-1930 seasons he appeared at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona as Mime in R. Wagner’s ‘’Siegfried’’. Later he taught singing in Munich.
