After graduating from the Bucharest
Conservatory, where he was a pupil of Gh Stephănescu, he received immediate
engagements by the various operetta companies where, due to his exceptional
vocal qualities and artistic stage talent, enjoyed a great success. Then he went
to Italy , to supplement the
theoretical studies and vocal technique, obtained an engagement at La Scala in Milan . Sang at the San Carlo
in Naples , but mostly at the State Opera in Vienna .
