Herman Simberg (Tenor) (Bialystok, Poland 1901 - London, England 1985)

First he appeared at the Warsaw Opera, but then went to London and with great success participated in concerts.

Chronology of some appearances

6 April 1941: Oxford, Sheldonian Theatre Celebrity Concert for His Majesty's Forces with Herman Simberg (vocal), Mark Hambourg (piano) and Mischel Cherniavsky, accompanied by Ivor Newton.

28 March 1943, Sheldonian Theatre: James Ching and Betty Reeves (piano), E. Bryan Gipps (violin), Eric Ashcroft (flute) and Herman Simberg (tenor), conducted by John Webster

8 January 1944: Jubilee Concert given by the National Symphony Orchestra with Eva Turner, Herman Simberg and Mark Hambourg, conducted by Sidney Beer, Sir Adrian Boult and Basil Cameron

25 September 1945: Brangwyn Hall, Swansea Programme of the Grand Celebrity Concert Violinist: Max Rostal. Soprano: Joan Hammond. Tenor: Herman Simberg Brangwyn Hall Orchestra
