Feodor Oreshkevich (Tenor) (Odessa 1872 – Kiev 1932)

From 1897 to 1900 Oreshkevich studied in St. Petersburg under F. I. Gushchin. He made his debut in 1900 in Tbilisi. From 1901 to 1904 he was a soloist of the St. Petersburg’ Mariinsky Theatre, where he made his debut as Lensky in Tchaikovsky’s ‘’Eugene Onegin’’. From 1904 to 1906 he sang in Warsaw. From 1907 to 1913  and from 1915 to 1915 Oreshkevich appeared at the National Opera House in Kiev. He also performed at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow (1913-1915). In 1902 and 1904 he made guest appearances at the opera house Olimpia in St. Petersburg and also sang at the opera house of Solodovnikov (1909). Since 1920’s he worked as a  pedagogue in conservatory of Kiev. Oreshkevich’s records are extremely rare.
