Ester Adaberto (Soprano) (Naples 1872 - Milan 1951)





Her real name was Ester Nunez de Arce. At the age of two she moved with her family to Milan. She studied singing under Emma Dotti and, in 1897, after after participating in some recitals in Milan, she made her debut at the Teatro Nuovo of Mirandola in R. Leoncavallo’s ‘’Pagliacci’’. She developed her career mostly in foreign countries. She spent some years as a member of the the Castellano Opera Company active in East Europe. Later, around 1905, she moved to USA, where, after a long and successful career, she retired from the stage as a result of the death of her so, who died during the First World War.  She made only three records.
