Nina Garelli (Soprano) (Cremona 1880 - Roma 1958)




Of native noble family of the Piemonte. She studied with the soprano Antoinette Pozzoni Anastasi and she made her debut in 1905 at the Grande of Brescia as Adina in the Elisir d'Amore with Alexander Bonci. In the 1911 she sang in the first Italian of the Quo Vadis of J.Nogues at Dal Verme in Milan. After she got married with Jacques-Dalcroze, she moved her to England where she performed in a lot of recitals. Reentered in Italy she devoted her to the teaching and she collaborated with some musical magazines. Struck by serious illness she died in Rome while she was visiting some relatives.
