She studied under Melchiorre Vidal in Milan. She made her stage debut in 1908 in the Teatro San Carlo, Naples as Rosina in ‘’Barbiere di Siviglia’’.. In 1909 she guested in the Théâtre Sarah Bernhardt in Paris, in Cairo and in the opera house of Monte Carlo. In this opera house she guested from 1909-12 as Rosina in ‘’Barbiere di Siviglia’’, Linda di Chamounix of  Donizetti, Gilda in the ‘’Rigoletto’’, in 1917 again as Rosina, in 1919 as Mimi in ‘’La Bohème’’ and as Nedda in ‘’Pagliacci’’. She appeared in 1910 in the Vienna Court Opera, in 1909 and 1910 in Prague. From 1910-11 and 1915-19 she sang in the Teatro Costanzi, Rome among other things the role of Philine in ‘’Mignon’’ of  A. Thomas and Elvira in ‘’I Puritani’’ of Bellini. Other guest performances led the singer to the Teatro Liceo, Barcelona (1911-13, 1916-17, 1922-23), to the Grand Opéra, Paris (1916 as Norina in ‘’Don Paquale’’, in 1922 as Gilda, in 1923 as queen of the night in the ‘’Magic flute’’), to the Teatro Real, Madrid (1916-23), to the Court Opera of  St. Petersburg (1913) and over and over again to the big Italian stages (Teatro Comunale, Bologna in 1914 as Rosina, Teatro San Carlo, Naples till 1928, Teatro Bellini, Catania). In  the 1910-11 and from 1924-26 she was engaged by the Metropolitan Opera, New York, where she debuted as Rosina in Rossini’s ‘’Barbiere di Siviglia’’. She sang there, in addition, the role of Gilda in ‘’Rigoletto’’ and the as Lucia in ‘’Lucia di Lammermoor’’. In 1916 she guested in the La Scala as Rosina, in 1922 in the same part, in 1914 and 1922 in the Teatro Colón of Buenos Aires. In 1924 she performed in the Covent Garden, London as Gilda in ‘’Rigoletto’’, in 1925 she sang in the San Francisco Opera. There followed a tour with famous bass Fedor Schaljapin. She married the manager of the casino of Ostend where she was to be heard since then often in concerts. Since 1932 she lived as a pedagogue on the Greek island Corfu and then became a professor of the Athens Conservatory. Here she was the teacher of the famous prima donna Maria Callas. In 1936 she finished finally her career. From 1949-58 she worked as a pedagogue at the Ankara Conservatory, where soprano Leyla Gencer belonged to her pupils. She lived later in Milan.
