Yulia Nosilova (Mezzo-Soprano) (St. Petersburg, Russia 1870 - Petrograd, Russia 1919)






Her real surname was Golubeva. She studied singing under Z. P. Grenning-Vilde and made her debut in 1893 as Siébel in C. Gounod’s ‘’Faust’’ at the Mariinski Theatre in St. Petersburg. In 1903 she appeared as Wellgunde in the Russian premiere of R. Wagner’s ‘’Götterdämmerung’’. In 1905 for Russia she created the role of Wellgunde in R. Wagner’s ‘’Das Rheingold’’. She was a member of the Mariinski Theatre in St. Petersburg till 1914.
