Anna Krushelnytska (Kruszelnicka/ Krusceniski) (Belaya 1887 – Lviv 1965)


                                                          Mimi in ''Boheme''

Her sister was the great soprano Salomea Krushelnytska. She studied singing at Conservatorio di musica “Giuseppe Verdi” di Milano. From 1907 to 1914 she appeared at the opera houses of Warsaw, Lviv, Roma, Milano, Venezia and Regio (1913-1914). She possessed a beautiful voice of a  ‘’ violoncello’’ timbre and excellent vocal school. Her best roles were Micalea in ‘’Carmen’’, Mimi  in ‘’Boheme’’, Iris in Mascagni’s ‘’Iris’’, Elisabetha in ‘’Tannhauser’’.From 1914 to 1928 she performed as a concert singer.
