Clotilde Bressler-Gianoli (Contralto) (Genf, Switzerland 3. 6. 1874 † Genf, Switzerland 12. 5. 1912)



She received her education at the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève, then studied singing in Milan with the pedagogues Sangiovanni, Giacosa and Ronconi.  She made her debut in 1890 at the Opera-Comique as Carmen in ‘’Carmen’’ of C. Saint-Saëns. She also appeared at the opera houses of Bordeaux and Lyon. She died at the age of 38 by a sepsis after an appendix perforation. She made only 3 recordings.
