Alexander Kachenovsky (Bass) (St. Petersburg, Russia 19 (31). 5. 1884 - Voronezh, Russia 22. 8. 1935)





He studied singing in St. Petersburg under Zarembo and Richard Nouvel-Nordi (1907-1908), then he went to Paris and perfected under Carre and Jean De Reszke (1908). Probably he made his debut at the Opera-Comique in Paris, where he appeared in the 1908-1909 season. His repertoire included Nilakantha in ‘’Lakme’’, Mefistofele in ‘’Faust’’, ‘’Gremin’’ in ‘’Eugene Onegin’’, Pimen in ‘’Boris Godunov’’ etc.
