Emanuele Ischierdo (Manuel Izquierdo) (Tenor) (Valencia 1875 - Milan 1951)



                                                                 Otello


His real name was Manuel Izquierdo, and under this name he also appeared in Spain, Portugal and South America. Already in 1900 he sang in Santiago de Chile  in ‘’Otello’’, ‘’Andrea Chénier'' and ‘’L’africana’’. In the 1907-1908 season he appeared  at the  Teatro Regio in Parma as Andrea Chenier in Giordano's ''Andrea Chenier'', as Faust in ''La dannazione di Faust'' of Hector Berlioz. and  in the première of the opera ‘’Rose rosse’’ of  Lebegott. At the Teatro Regio in Parma he sang as a partner of the soprano Tina Poli-Randaccio. During of his career he  appeared also in 1910 in Montevideo and in 1911 at the Teatro Real in Madrid as Siegmund in ‘’Walkiria’’. He gave up his career in 1914.
