He studied singing under Camille Everardi and Ioakim Tartakov in Kiev. He appeared at the operatic stages in Kharkov (1903), Moscow (Zimin Opera 1904/1905), Zhytomyr (1906-1908), Rostov-on-Don (1907), Tbilisi (1907, 1910), St. Peterburg (National House 1908, 1912-1913), Samara (1909/1910), Vilnius (1910), Kharkov (1911/1912), Kiev (1912-1915) and Ekaterinburg (1915, 1919-1921). His best role was Figaro in G. Rossini’s ‘’Il Barbiere di Siviglia’’. His repertoire included Ruslan in ‘’Ruslan and Ludmila’’, Robert in ‘’Iolanta’’, Valentin in ‘’Faust’’, Escamilio in ‘’Karmen’’, Nelusko in ‘’L’Africana’’, Jago in ‘’Otello’’, Renato in ‘’Un Ballo in Maschera’’, Amonasro in ‘’Aida’’, Tonio in ‘’Pagliacci’’.
