ALMERICO
STAMPANONI
He was active throughout Italy during the 1890s and the early 1900s.
In 1890, he appeared at the Teatro Alfieri as Fernando in La Favorita. He later
made guest appearances in Teramo, Asti, and Naples. In 1896, he performed at
the Imperial Theatre in Warsaw. The following year, he toured Buenos Aires
(1897) and Odessa (1899). In 1902, he traveled to Amsterdam and performed at
the Paleis Voor Volksvlijt, where he sang the role of the Duke in Rigoletto. He
likely retired from the stage in 1908. His recordings, made for APGA, are
extremely rare.
