ReplyDeleteVoyer sang Siegmund to Callas' Brünnhilde in the famous January 1949 La Fenice performances (famous because Callas learned Elvira in "I puritani" during the run of "Die Walküre" and sang Bellini's opera immediately afterwards). At the end of the month they both repeated their respective roles in Palermo.
