Eva Tetrazzini (Soprano) (Milan 1862 – Parma 1938)





She was a sister of the great prima donna Luisa Tetrazzini and Elvira Tetrazzini. Her husband was the great conductor Cleofonte Campanini. She studied singing with Ceccherini and made her debut in 1882 at Florence as Marguerite in ‘’Faust’’.

  2. According to Charles Neilson Gattey, in his biography of Luisa Tetrazzini, these records are by Elvira Tetrazzini, not Eva.

    2. Hello Ashot. The recordings (also some for La Fonografia Nazionale Milano) are indeed all by Elvira Tetrazzini, the youngest of the three sisters. The oldest, Eva, never recorded - she was nominally retired by 1903 but made a few appearances thereafter (in Andrea Chénier), supported by her husband Campanini (who is the accompanist of his sister-in-law Luisa Tetrazzini in her black Zonophones). I think the dates you give are for Eva - I'm not sure what Elivra's dates are.
